Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide production of gypsum board of pulp sludge for high- strength building material as a means for reusing papermaking pulp sludge, suitable for mass production without requiring an ultra-power blender. CONSTITUTION:In producing building gypsum board of pulp sludge by blending papermaking pulp sludge (daggregate having 0.5-10mum used in papermaking from 20-150mum fibrous material, such as clay, containing 40-60% free water) with an acid so as to form an acidic region, making sludge constituent components cause tanning reaction, subjecting the sludge to pretreatment for neutralization with sladked lime and filtering, the prepared pretreated sludge is mixed with gypsum hemihydrate, molded and solidified. The pretreatment provides tanning effects to suppress swelling of hydrous fiber of pulp sludge with water, forms a very small amount of gypsum in the hydraous fine fibers, provides the pulp sludge with filtering properties, improves compatibility of the fiber sludge component with the hemihydrate, makes both the components closest to treat a large amount of pulp sludge without using an ultra-power blender and to produce gypsum board for high-strength and firm building material.
