Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently output a generated composite picture on the decoding side. SOLUTION: On the encoding side, natural picture data for the portion of one gate, which is inputted from a picture input device 1, and CG data inputted from a plotting processor 3 are inputted and the inputted pictures are composited so that composite picture data for the portion of one page is generated in a picture memory 2. Then, the composite picture data is divided into blocks, the respective block pictures are encoded in an encoding part 4 and encoded data is outputted to the decoding side.
