Abstract:
A photoconductor for electrophotography comprises an electroconductive substrate; and a photosensitive layer formed on the electroconductive substrate. The photosensitive layer includes a charge generating substance and a charge transporting substance including at least one hydrazone compound represented by general formula (I): (I) wherein each of R1, R2, R3 and R4 is selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group and an aryl group, and each of R5, R6, R7 and R8 is selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, aralkyl group and heterocyclic group.
