Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I [R1 and R2 are (substituted) alkyl or together form a ring or hetero atom-containing ring; X and Y are cyano-, -COOR (R is alkyl), -CONHR' (R' is H or aryl) or group of formula II] or a compound of formula III [R3 is OH, -COOR or -OSi(R)3; n is 2-15]. EXAMPLE:A compound of formula IV. USE:A light-absorbing material added to photoresist compositions for finely processing printed circuit boards. The light-absorbing material does not sublime even on a pre-baking process under a high temperature, has good compatibility with resists and does not deposit during storage. PREPARATION:A compound of formula V (R4 is R3 excluding OH) or VI is condensation-reacted with a compound of formula VII is an inactive organic solvent such as ethyl alcohol to form the compound of formula I wherein R3 is R4. The formed compound of formula I is hydrolyzed with concentrated hydrochloric acid, etc., to form the compound of formula I wherein R3 is OH.
