Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable change of excess energy and productivity to the following process in the wide range by changing combination of each level of oxygen gas flow rate, ratio of iron ore and iron scrap and secondary combustion ratio in a smelting reduction method of iron holding foaming slag with carbonaceous material suspended in a furnace. CONSTITUTION:In a smelting reduction furnace, as the exothermic quantity per unit consumption of coal and oxygen is increased by raising the secondary combustion ratio, the productivity is improved and the generated energy is decreased to the oxygen supplying capacity. Further, as the iron scrap does not need heat for reduction, the unit consumptions of the coal and oxygen are low in comparison with the reduction of ore, and by changing the mixed ratio of iron scrap, the productivity is changed and as the mixed ratio of iron scrap is higher, the productivity is improved and the generated gas energy is decreased. Therefore, by changing the ratio of iron ore and iron scrap, secondary combustion ratio and oxygen gas flow rate based on the combination of the preset prescribed levels, the energy demand, operational cost and productivity can be selected with the operational method, which is suitable to the various conditions at this time.
