Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly monitor oxygen concentration during welding nuclear fuel rods. SOLUTION: Generally, oxygen concentration is monitored with an oxygen analyzer 42 provided on the gas exhaust side of a welding chamber 23. However, the oxygen in an inert gas supplied to the welding chamber 23 is diluted by stirring, mixing and the like and this oxygen concentration is monitored with the oxygen analyzer 42 on the gas exhaust side. If an inert gas with a high oxygen concentration is suddenly supplied in this state, it sometimes can not be exactly monitored owing to being diluted and captured by the welding part. Thus, an oxygen analyzer 35 is provided on the gas supply side so that the gas with a high oxygen concentration is properly monitored in the inlet side.
