Abstract:
PURPOSE:To form a caison into long and large shape while avoiding problems in manufacture and transportation by arranging and fixing insert reinforcements in the recessed parts for filling concrete formed on both ends, and providing rubber gasket around the recessed part so as to cut off water. CONSTITUTION:Recessed parts 6 for filling concrete therein are respectively provided on the opposed ends of adjoining two caisons 1, 1 for breakwater, and the caisons 1, 1 adjoin each other at these ends. Next, water in the recessed parts is drained while preventing invasion of water, the. recessed parts are closely fitted to each other, and reinforcements are arranged therein and concrete is placed therein. In this case, at placing concrete, insert reinforcements 7 are fixedly operated in concrete so as to strongly connect the adjoining two caisons to each other. A rubber gasket 8 is provided around the recessed part 6 so as to cut off water. The connected part position is formed into a strong construction against bending moment in the horizontal plane by wave force and in vertical plane by unequal sinking in particular. Hereby, desired number of caisons for breakwater can be integratedly connected together.
