Abstract:
PURPOSE:To lower the height of a bead apex to reduce the whole weight of a tire by specifying a ratio of the height of the upper end of the apex to the height of cross-section of the tire, and abutting the main body of a carcass through a reinforcing layer against the return part of the carcass on the outside in the radial direction of the upper end of the bead apex. CONSTITUTION:With a carcass 6, a return part 6B wrapping around a bead core 5 from the inside of a tire to the outside is provided to a main body part 6A extending from a tread part 2 through a side wall part 3 to the bead core 5 of a bead part 4. A belt layer 7 is provided inside the tread part 2 and outside the carcass layer 6 in the radial direction of the tire, and aromatic polyamide cords are used as belt cords. A band layer 13 is formed by herically winding ribbons, in which nylon cords are arranged parallelly, in the circumferential direction of the tire. Further, with a bead apex 8, hard rubber is used, and the bead apex is formed into the shape of triangular cross-section extending outside the bead core 5 in the radial direction of the tire between the main body part 6A and the return part 6B, and the height Ha of the upper end of, the apex is set to be below 13% of the height Ht of the cross-section of the tire.
