Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compounding agent for rubber which can give a silica- filled vulcanizable rubber composition, especially rubber composition excellent in modulus, abrasion resistance, a tan δ balance, etc. SOLUTION: This agent comprises a polysiloxane (A) having alkoxysilyl groups of the formula: ≡Si-OR<1> or acyloxysilyl groups of the formula ≡Si- OCOR<2> and having a number-average molecular weight of 200-300,000 and a siline coupling agent (B) in an A/B ratio of 95/5 to 5/95. In the formulas, R<1> is a 1-18C substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group or an ether-bond-containing organic group; and R<2> is hydrogen or a 1-18C hydrocarbon group.
