Abstract:
PURPOSE:To realize the separation of colors with use of a set of colors and without using the fixed threshold value by updating the center of the set of colors which is so far held by the color data decided as the same color via the moving average. CONSTITUTION:A moving average circuit 43, a register 41, and a deciding circuit 42 form a pair, and these pairs are prepared in number equal to the number of colors to be identified and processed in parallel with each other. The circuit 43 updates the center of the set of colors so far held by the moving average and based on the color data decided as the same color. Then the register 41 holds the data on each color searched at first as the center of the relevant color set. The circuit 42 calculates the distance between each held color and other colors respectively and decides the presence or absence of the same colors. a new color recognizing circuit 44 gathers the outputs of the circuit 42 and decides whether a noted color is equal to a new one or not. Then a control circuit 45 receives the output from the circuit 44 and controls the register 41 to hold the new color.
