Abstract:
PURPOSE:To securely turn left and right in safety by providing a safety judging circuit which calculates how long this vehicle and a rear vehicle take to reach a predicted collision position, compares the times, and generate a safe or danger signal. CONSTITUTION:When an ON signal is inputted from a direction indicator 3, a driving circuit 5 drives a radar 4, whose output signal is sent to the safety judging circuit 7. The circuit 7 calculates the time that this vehicle requires to reach the collision point with the rear vehicle and the time that the rear vehicle requires to reach the collision point, and compares those time data with each other by using the outputs of a vehicle speed sensor 1, a steering angle sensor 2, and the circuit 5. When it is decided that the arrival time of this vehicle is shorter than the arrival time of the rear vehicle, the safe signal is outputted on a display device 6, but when not, the danger signal is displayed.
