Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the angular resolving power by carrying out scanning with shifting of the angle within each slice range which is obtained by dividing the aimed slice range into two parts or more, and by carrying out back projection calculation by synthesizing the obtained projection data, and reducing the partial volume artifact. CONSTITUTION:When an image having a slice range of the thickness of 5mm is formed, having a position X0 as center, by using a CT scanner 1, a table 7 is shifted to a position (X0-1.25mm), and the X-ray irradiated from an X-ray tube 5 is throttled, and the slice thickness is reduced to 2.5mm, and the data is collected by a detector 9 and a DAS 10. When the obtained data is sent into a high speed calculator 11, the foreprocessing is carried out, and the projection data is prepared. Then, the table 7 is shifted to a position (X0-1.25mm), and the projection data is prepared similarly. Both the projection data thus obtained is synthesized, and the filtered-back projection calculation is carried out. Accordingly, the prepared image is sent into a display 12 from a CPU 3, and displayed.
