Abstract:
Microgranules containing a core coated with layers containing diltiazem and an outer membrane. This membrane consists of a mixture of shellac and ethylcellulose, or a mixture of ethylcellulose with a plasticiser.
The retard form obtained by the process of the invention enables the number of daily doses to be decreased, lower concentration peaks to be produced in the hours following ingestion and a concentration which remains higher over time to be obtained.
