Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the temperature of air, led into an exhaust pipe, from being lowered by the running wind of a vehicle so as to improve exhaust gas purifying efficiency. CONSTITUTION:An outer cylinder 21 is provided in such a way as to cover the outer peripheral part of the part, downstream of a heater 11, of an air lead-in pipe 8. This outer cylinder is connected to an exhaust pipe 3 by an exhaust gas inflow pipe 22 and an exhaust gas outflow pipe 23, and the by-pass passage of exhaust gas is formed in the outer cylinder 21 to lead in high temperature exhaust gas.
