Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a water treating method where a granulate medium is effectively used even up to the inside of individual grain for purifying a liquid to be treated and treating time is short and the installing area of equipment is small. CONSTITUTION:In a biofiltration method where a packed layer 3 constituted of a granulate medium for supporting a microorganism is formed below the surface of liquid and a liquid to be treated 4 is passed through a reaction tank 1 downward from the upper part of a reactor tank 1 to perform the removal of suspended materials and the biodegradation treatment of dissolved components in the packed layer 3 at the same time, before the liquid to be treated 4 flows in the reaction tank 1, the suspended materials in the liquid to be treated 4 are removed. And in the reaction tank 1 where the packed layer 3 constituted of the granulate medium through which the liquid to be treated 4 is passed for supporting the microorganism is formed below the surface of the liquid, the liquid to be treated 4 is passed through the reaction tank 1 from above at a high speed of >=600m/day flow velocity to shorten the treating time.
