Abstract:
PURPOSE:To establish a supporting method for an exact suppression of a xenon oscillation in a nuclear reactor without requiring any predictive analysis by visualizing incessantly an iodine distribution, a xenon distribution and an output distribution in a reactor core and by displaying changes of those distributions with the change of time. CONSTITUTION:An output level of a reactor core 1 is incessantly observed using a plant instrumentation device 3 and from parameter histories obtained by the observation, an iodine distribution, a xenon distribution and an output distribution in the reactor core are calculated by an arithmetic processing unit 4 using physical constants and design data of a nuclear reactor. By visualizing incessantly those distributions in a form of an axial distortion and by displaying 5 changes with the change of time, a supporting of a xenon oscillation control is conducted. Therewith, an operator can notice always axial distortions of the output distribution, the iodine distribution and the xenon distribution. For the suppression of the xenon oscillation, at a moment when axial distortions of the iodine distribution and the xenon distribution coincide with each other, the suppression of the xenon oscillation can be achieved by just fitting the axial distortion of the output distribution to the coincident value by an operation of control rods.
