Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [M is chelate-forming transition metal ion; R1 and R2 are halogen or univalent organic group; (m) and (n) are 0-4; X is group of formula II (R3 and R5 are alkyl), hydroxyl, etc.; Z is anion; L1 and L2 are coordination compounds capable of bonding to transition metal ion through coordination bond to form a complex; l1 and l2 are 0-3]. EXAMPLE:The compound of formula III. USE:Pigment, etc., for optical recording medium sensitive to laser light. It has high solubility in organic solvent, high reflectivity and excellent storage stability. It has spectral absorption at long-wavelength range and small useless absorption in red range. PREPARATION:The exemplified compound can be produced e.g. by reacting the compound of formula IV with nitric acid in glacial acetic acid, successively reacting the product with sodium hydrosulfite and acetyl chloride to obtain the compound of formula V, reacting the compound with the compound of formula VI, and reacting the resultant compound of formula VII with Ni(ClO4)2.
