Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of bit errors generated inside an ATM communication system by using pseudo random (PN) signals for test signals in a cell arrival order detection device for testing the transfer state of the cells of the ATM communication system. CONSTITUTION:A PN signal generator 1 generates the PN signal (a) and transmits it to the ATM communication system 2. A referring PN signal generation circuit 3 receives the PN signal (b) divided into the cells inside the ATM communication system and successively transferred and generates referring PN signals (e) for the respective cells. A circuit 4 for generating signals for cell order detection generates the signals p1-p4 for the detection for detecting the order of the cell arriving next based on the referring PN signal (e). A cell order detection circuit 5 detects the arrival order of the cells from the coincidence state of the signals p1-p4 for the detection and the referring PN signal (e) generated based on the cell arriving next.
