Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily expand the process of each state model to a format depending upon an approximate state model by providing a standard pattern storage part where standard patterns are stored by categories to be recognized, an output value update part which redetermines and update the output value of a sent expansion state model, etc. CONSTITUTION:The devices are provided with the standard pattern storage part 1 where the standard patterns consisting of state models are stored by the categories to be recognized, an output value initialization setting part 3 which sets the initial value of the output value of each expansion state model, and the output value update part 5 which redetermines and update the output value of the expansion state model according to similarity and the output value of the expansion value state model other than an expansion state model belonging to the same category with the expansion state model. Then, when predetermined output value update end conditions are not satisfied, the control is returned to a selection part 4 and when the conditions are satisfied, the control is advanced to a next recognition result decision part 8 by an output value update control part 7, etc. are provided. Consequently, the process of each state model can easily be expanded to the format depending upon the approxi mate state model.
