Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily register and retrieve image by setting an image-forming mode when a detection means does not detect the installation of a storage medium and setting a processing means to be a storage mode when it is detected. CONSTITUTION:A read means 41 reads plural pieces of document information, and a storage means on which the storage medium is installed stores plural pieces of document information which the read means 41 reads. An output means 4 prints and outputs document information which the read means 41 reads. Then, the processing means 2 processes the storage mode storing document information which the read means 41 reads in the storage medium, and the image-forming mode print-outputting document information which the read means 41 reas from the output means 4, and it is detected whether the storage medium is installed on the storage means or not. When the installation of the storage medium is not detected by the detection, the processing means is set to the image-forming mode. When the installation of the storage medium is detected, the processing means 2 is set to the storage mode. Thus, the image can easily be registered and retrieved.
