Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the subject synthetic leather having moisture permeability, moisture absorption properties and moisture release properties and free from a sense of incompatibility with the human skin by forming a polyurethane coating film containing fine particles composed of silk fiber and/or wool on the surface of a basal synthetic leather. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a synthetic leather made of a fiber material composed of a synthetic fiber, a regenerated fiber, a natural fiber, etc., and a synthetic resin such as a polyurethane resin or a poly(amino acid,) urethane resin is coated with an organic solution of a high molecular polymer, e.g. a poly(amino acid) urethane resin or a mixture of the above-mentioned resin and a fluorine-modified polyurethane containing fine particles made of silk fiber and/or wool to form a coating film of the above-mentioned high molecular polymer. The objective highly moisture permeable synthetic leather free from tacky touch can be obtained thereby. The above-mentioned poly(amino acid) urethane resin preferably contains a poly(amino acid) segment mainly composed of poly-gamma-methyl-L-glutamate in an amount of 3-85wt.% based on the poly(amino acid) urethane resin.
