Abstract:
PURPOSE:To assign the display items in the order requested by a user not by the fixed order by storing the pointed item display control information and changing the display order of the display items based on the stored item display control information. CONSTITUTION:A display buffer VBUF 4 displays the characters corresponding to the written character codes on a display device CRT 8. A CRT controller CRTC 6 displays the contents of the VBUF 4 on the CRT 8. A character generator CG 7 produces the character signals of the characters, the symbols, etc., which are displayed on the CRT 8. A CPU 1 is used as a changing means 1a, etc., and points and inputs the display of each display item shown on a keyboard 5 using as a 1st pointing means and the item display control information showing the display order of the display items when plural display items pointing the jobs to the character process, for example, are shown on the CRT 8. Then the pointed and inputted item display control information is stored in a menu display pointing buffer FONF 3a. Thus the display items can be assigned in an optional order requested by a user.
