Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable facilitation of addition of a function to control an auto wiper by a method wherein, a second control means to control a wiper drive means is added to an existing wiper control device having no auto wiper function so that the wiper derive means is brought into a motion state in response to an output from a raindrop detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A wiper control device is provided with a switch circuit 1 as a first control means selecting a first motion mode in which a wiper is continuously reciprocatively driven and a second motion mode in which a wiper is intermittently driven through manual operation and serving as a first control means to control the operation of a power motor 2. In this wiper control device, a control device 3 serving as a second control means is located between a switch circuit 1 and the power motor 2. The control device 3 detects the connection state of a power switch 11 of the switch circuit 1, and when it is detected that the power switch 11 is set to an intermittent motion state, a detecting signal from a raindrop sensor 4 is inputted, and based on the detecting value, an intermittent time is set and the wiper motor 2 is run and controlled.
