Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide an air conditioner of a so-called multi-type air conditioner in which a surplus refrigerant can be pushed out of the outdoor unit during its operation. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of outdoor units 11, 12 are connected to an inter-unit pipe extending from an indoor unit 3. There is provided a surplus refrigerant sensing means (T1, T2) for sensing that there is a surplus refrigerant in the outdoor unit during its operation. In the case that there is a surplus refrigerant in the outdoor unit 11 during its operation by a surplus refrigerant sensing means, there is provided a control means for guiding the surplus refrigerant to the outdoor unit 12 in its stopped condition.
