Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of heat and smoke from a joint of a fireproof glass by filling the joint with a foaming layer of sodium silicate related materials is deformed by heat and makes a foamed layer during the heat resistive period and covers the spaces of the joint. CONSTITUTION:A superheat resisting, crystallized glass is used for fireproof glass 1 and 1' of a fireproof door, and an empty space of the joint of the glass 1 and 1' is filled with foaming layer 2 of sodium silicate related materials by injection. Then, the layer 2 is covered with pieces of float glass 3 on the front and reverse sides of the glass 1 and 1', and the pieces are firmly fixed with a set screw 4. When heated, the glass 3 breaks and the layer 2 within foams and the space of the joint between glass 1 and 1' is covert.
