Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance power factor by the energy being stored in a choke coil when two stitching elements turn on simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:200 volts from a commercial power supply 14 is rectified in a diode bridge 16, and subsequently being provided into a half bridge convertor containing switching elements 20a and 20b, and a high frequency transformer 34, via a choke coil 18. In a steady state, a control circuit 12 alternately turns on a respective switching element 20a or 20b at the frequency inversely proportional to an average value of a current, detected by a current transformer 44, flowing in a primary winding 34a. A high frequency high voltage induced in a secondary winding 34b is applied in a magnetron 36 via a voltage doubler rectifier circuit. When an input voltage is equal to or less than a predetermined value, the control circuit 12 control respective switching element 20a and 20b in such a way that they alternately turn on, after the switching elements 20a and 20b are turned on simultaneously.
