Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable conversion to a suitable honorific with simple operation by detecting the main body of character, state and operation in words as the objects of the conversion. CONSTITUTION:When an instruction to convert the 'sent' of 'sent from Tokyo', to which Chinese character (KANJI) conversion is executed by a Japanese syllabary (KANA)/(KANJI) conversion part 3, is applied from an operator, a grammar analysis part 4 analyzes the 'sent (okurareta)' and obtains information, for example, 'send (okuru) : verb / reru : auxiliary verb (equipped with four meanings such as possibility, passive voice, respect and spontaneousness) / ta : auxiliary verb (past)', etc. Then, these information are stored in a clause buffer 5. Next, a control part 2 activates a synonym constitution part 6 and retrieves the synonym for the 'send (okuru)' by a synonym dictionary 7. In such a case, the control part 2 stores the four types of descriptions such as 'soufu (send) sareta', 'soufu wo uketa', 'go soufu ni natta' and 'go soufu nasatta' as conversion candidates in a candidate table 8 and displays them in an output part 9. Out of the displayed conversion candidates, the synonym selected by an operator is converted to the 'okurareta' and displayed.
