Abstract:
PURPOSE:To approximate a curve from a straight line with addition and subtraction which can be executed easily and quickly, and execute a circular interpolation processing at high speed by calculating the middle point of each line designated by plural coordinate data and generating an approximate curve by circular interpolation. CONSTITUTION:An input means 1 which inputs a vector data consisting of plural coordinate data, and an approximate curve calculating means 2 which calculates the middle point of each line designated by the plural coordinate data and generates an approximate curve by circular interpolation, are provided. Also, a threshold setting means 3 which sets the threshold regarding the error of the curve calculated by the approximate curve calculating means 2, and an error discriminating means 4 which compares the threshold set by threshold setting means 3 with the error of the curve calculated by the approximate curve calculating means 2 and discriminates the presence of the error, are provided. Thus, with the same amount of data as tertiary Bezier function of the circular interpolation system and without the need to execute a multiplication, the curve approximation can be executed by a fast and simple constitution.
