Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the transmission efficiency to a terminal equipment needing high speed processing by checking a traffic counter so as to decide whether or not delay control is implemented and relaxing the transmission of a low speed device when the delay exceeds a prescribed delay quantity. CONSTITUTION:A transmission processing section 1 decides whether the transmission includes delay control or not based on a control code 55 informed from a transmission line control section 2 and makes a transmission request of a transmission buffer 21 to the transmission line control section 2. The transmission line control section 2 implements the transmission not including delay control when a count of a traffic counter 25 is a prescribed value or below, and provides a prescribed wait time for a transmission request including delay control and sends succeeding transmission data when the count of the traffic counter 25 exceeds a prescribed value. Thus, the traffic of the transmission frame to be sent to the transmission line is controlled and the transmission efficiency to a terminal equipment requiring high speed processing is improved.
