Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform the selective display and the scroll display, etc., of the arbitrary part of image data by enabling an image reading mode by which an image signal is read and stored in a memory area larger than an image display area to be selected, and controlling a readout area with an address control means. CONSTITUTION:The operations of a line sensor LS, an A/D coverter 6, and a line buffer 7 are controlled by a timing control signal from a read timing control circuit 9, and the read/write of an image memory 8 is controlled by a control signal from a memory control circuit 10. The read/write of the image data on the image memory 8 having such storage area is performed by controlling the memory control circuit 10 with a CPU 22 via a system control circuit 21. Since the image memory 10 is provided with the storage area of, for example, four times the display area, the arbitrary part of an image original can be extracted and displayed by varying a readout leading address.
