Abstract:
PURPOSE:To promote growth of a superconductive phase for obtaining higher critical current density by crushing an oxide superconductor or its raw material before a plastic processing process for making its average grain diameter not exceeding a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A process of filling a metal sheath with an oxide superconductor or its raw material for applying a plastic process is provided for a wire rod. In a prior process of a plastic processing process, the oxide superconductor or its raw material is crushed for making its average grain diameter not exceeding 1.0mum. Thereby, in the superconductor part, a non-superconductive phase 2 comes to be so small-sized as not to exceed 1mum, a superconductive phase 1 can grow without being hindered by the non-superconductive phase 2, the passage for a current flow is connected with no interruption by the non- superconductive phase 2 thus to obtain an oxide superconducting wire rod showing high critical current density.
