Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase a displacement amount without increasing space in the lengthwise direction of a magnetostrictive material by containing a coil in a housing, and disposing two or more of the magnetostrictive materials and a conduction knob in the coil. CONSTITUTION:Since height of a lever mechanism T11 is very short as compared with lengths of magnetostrictive materials M11, M12, a displacement amount is increased despite that lengthwise direction of the magnetostrictive materials M11, M12 is almost equal to the conventional example. An increase amount of this displacement is in proportion to an amplification factor k(=L2/L1) of the displacement amount and the number of the magnetostrictive materials in use. A housing H1, fixed point S1, lever mechanism T11 and a transmission knob N1 are constituted of magnetic material, and when the magnetostrictive materials M11, M12 are formed in a closed magnetic path, a current, flowing in a coil C1, can be decreased for obtaining the same displacement amount. Here, the housing H1, fixed point S1, lever mechanism T11 and the transmission knob N1, constituted of magnetic material, constitute an example of a closed magnetic path means for forming the magnetostrictive materials in a closed magnetic path.
