Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the false color signal occurring at the edge part of an object even when the size of high frequency component of the object occupies larger proportion than that of low frequency component or not to degrade the improving effect on the false color signal at the peripheral part of the object where the brightness changes sharply. CONSTITUTION:An optical low-pass filter 12 provided on the front surface of an imaging device 2 combined with plural kinds of color filters reduces the component intruding as a side band component from spacial frequency components of the object within the bands of low-pass filters 7, 8 which are conversion means when a factor is determined. When a detection circuit 14 does not detect the sharp change of the object, a gate circuit 13 operates to interpolate with the average value of the back and forth picture signals obtained from a correction circuit 5.
