Abstract:
PURPOSE:To dissolve deterioration of shock resistance or a problem in coloring, by a method wherein a shock-resistant styrene resin molded item is formed of a specific resin composition and after recovery of the same after use, the molded item is crushed lumpily or in a powdery state and recycling is performed by melting the item at a specific temperature or higher. CONSTITUTION:At the time of manufacturing of a shock-resistant styrene resin molded item which is used for a household appliance or a food packaging vessel, a mixture comprised of 2-25wt.% partial hydrogenation conjugated diene rubber and 98-75wt.% mixture of a styrene monomer or a monomer copolymerizable with this is prepared. Shock-resistant styrene resin is prepared by polymerizing radically the mixture by mass polymerization or mass suspension polymerization or solution polymerization, by compounding this 30-100wt.% resin with the 70-0wt.% other styrene resin. Then a desired molded item is prepared by molding of the resin composition at a temperature of at least 200 deg.C, after recovery of the same, the same is crushed lampily or in a granular state or powdery state and recycled by melting the same at a temperature of at least 200 deg.C.
