Abstract:
The machine (1) has a frame with a hinged float for laying surface material. The float has two transverse halves which can be adjusted relative to one another in order to set different surface profiles, and which can be adjusted as a whole in order to set different cross-falls. The profile adjustment is achieved by an electric or electro-hydraulic actuator, and a controller which has inputs from sensors for the cross-fall and the surface profile. The control of the profile is adjusted corresponding to the value for the cross-fall, according to a predetermined relationship.
