Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide an aircraft radial tire improved in a side force characteristic while maintaining the advantage of a zigzag belt. CONSTITUTION:In a tire 21 with a zigzag belt, the tire outer face shape near the grounding end is formed into smooth round shoulder shape, and the thickness distribution grade (¦GA-GB¦)/x is made 0.9 or less. At the time of a slip angle being imparted, the curvature part of the round shoulder thereby comes in successive contact with the road surface in association with the deformation of the tire so as to enlarge a grounding area onto the side wall side opposite to the side force direction and to offset the decrease part of a grounding area on the opposite side (side force direction side). The decrease of the grounding area is thereby impeded to suppress the generation of an early tire slip at the high speed cornering time.
