Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the responsiveness to a vehicle production increase by giving a degree of freedom to the operatable range of a welding robot, and increasing the maximum working time of the welding robot. SOLUTION: A pallet carriage 24 movable along a welding line is arranged. A car body 6 is positioned and mounted on the pallet carriage 24. A shuttle body 34 with a clamp jig 48 is arranged reciprocatably between two adjacent welding stages. The pallet carriage 24 can be lifted or lowered by a hydraulic cylinder 14, and the car body 6 clamped by the clamp jig 24 and conveyed is transferred to the pallet carriage 24 by the lift of the pallet carriage 24. The position of the car body 6 moved to the next welding stage by the advance of the shuttle body 34 is detected by a sensor S, the operation of a welding robot 10 is controlled based on the detection signal, and the welding work is continued for the moved car body 6.
