Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to display the background videos intrinsic to respective pieces of music by reading the video data corresponding to the assigned music out of a video memory means and reproducing this video data together with the musical piece data of the assigned music. SOLUTION: When a user inputs the KARAOKE sing-along music number from a remote control terminal, this music number is taken via a panel I/F 26 into a CPU 21. The musical piece assigned of the music number is the new music distributed after the introduction of a system and, therefore, if a corresponding BGV index file exists or if the BGV index file is distributed in spite of an old music, the contents of this file are referenced and henceforce, the videos are reproduced in accordance with the described information of the file. In such a case, the playing of the KARAOKE sing-along machine is started in accordance with the musical piece data and, on the other hand, the disk number described in the BGV index file and the start trigger position is assigned to a background video reproducing device 32. This background video reproducing device 32 starts the reproduction of the video data.
