Abstract:
PURPOSE:To efficiently perform charging processing to a received cell with simple configuration. CONSTITUTION:A charging cell counting part 1 counts a cell for each DA and SA concerning a normal message and when one message is completely counted, the counting part 1 outputs the DA and SA to a CAM 2 and outputs the pumber of received cells to an adder 6. The CAM2 is an associated memory for retrieving charging table entry addresses corresponding to the DA and SA. When the cells of new DA and SA are received a charging table entry address D is read from a FIFO 3, and those cells are let enter the CAM 2. A charging table 5 stores the number of charging cells for each DA and SA in the address D. When a charging table empty entry address is stored and the new cell is received, the FIFO 3 applies the entry address to be registered on the table 5. A FIFO 4 stores the address D just under using for the table 5. Corresponding to the information of call originating and terminating subscribers, the number of cells is calculated and charging information is summed up.
