Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing unit by which an error detected in the case of processing a TS(transport stream) packet, a type of condition under which the TS packet is filtered and status information including a fault in the TS packet on the processing are indicated to a CPU for each TS packet. SOLUTION: This data processing unit is provided with a synchronization circuit 111 that establishes synchronization of received data, a PID filter 112 that extracts the required data from the received data and detects a state of the received data, a formatter 114 that detects a state of the received data, a log generating circuit 120 that generates a log denoting a state of the detected data, and a transfer circuit 116 that outputs the log together with the data.
