Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic shielding device, which can cool a magnetic shield at 90 K or lower, without needing a feed of a refrigerant and moreover, a has a closed-cycle-operation cooling system, which can tilt a magnetic shield (magnetic shielding space) at an arbitrary angle, is easy to handle, and can conduct a stable long-term continuous operation. SOLUTION: Thid device consists of a structure that a high-temperature superconductor magnetic shield 1 is installed in a vacuum container A with the torus-shaped section and the shield 1 is cooled in a superconducting state. In this case, the shield 1 consists of a structure such that a high-temperature superconductor thin layer is adhered to the inner peripheral surface of a magnetic shielding substrate formed into a cylindrical form and a cooling tube 13 is piped on the outer peripheral surface of the substrate in a Zigzagged shape in the axial direction of the substrate and is jointed to the substrate by welding. Moreover, the high-pressure piping 18 and low- pressure return piping 18 of a circulating gas cooling unit 19 using helium gas as a cooling circulating medium are made to communicate with the tube 13 and the above vacuum container A with the torus-shaped section is supported tiltably and movably by a tilting unit 8, provided on a tilting support truck 9 on both sides of the outside of the position of the center of gravity of the unit 8.
