Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrapping material for a battery case that can be shaped into a sharp form by means of bulge forming or deep drawing, is excellent in strength as well, and never eroded by a corrosive electrolyte or the like. SOLUTION: This wrapping material for a battery case having a total wrapping material thickness of 150 μm or less is made by laminating, on at least one surface of aluminum foil, a polyamide film or a polyester film that has such mechanical properties that tensile strength up to rapture in four directions (0 deg., 45 deg., 90 deg. and 135 deg.) in a tensile test of a thickness of 9-50 μm (sample width: 15 mm, distance between gage marks: 50 mm and elastic stress rate: 100 mm/ min) is 150 N/mm2 or more, and the elongation in the four directions is 80% or more, and has small directiveness, and by laminating, on the outermost side, a film that has a thickness of at least 9-50 μm and is formed of polypropylene, maleic acid modified polypropylene, an ethylene-acrylate copolymer, or an ionomer resin.
