Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate a key word through the use of the appearing frequency of characters or a partial character string constituting a key word candidate word. SOLUTION: An objective electronic document 2 is provided with a means 1 for extracting a key word candidate, an appearance frequency counting means 3 and a means 4 evaluating an extracted key word candidate. The evaluating means 4 evaluates the key word candidate according to the appearing frequency of each character group and counted character constituting the key word candidate in the document 2. A key word can be evaluated without a dictionary for a key word, etc., so that the processing amount of the evaluating calculation of a key word character caused by the overlapping of characters is reduced. The evaluated key word candidates are displayed in order of decreasing an evaluation value by a display means 5.
