Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for voice synthesis in which natural and smooth voice having a variety of feeling expressions is synthesized. SOLUTION: A response template 11 is selected from a response template set 10. Voice synthesis parameters are generated by a synthesis parameter generator 5 and a voice set selector 6, based on the description of the template 11 and input information from an inputting device 1. Then, the parameters are combined based on the description of the template and voice is generated by a synthesized voice generator 8, based on the combined voice synthesis parameters.
