To provide a chute apparatus for shaving hoofs of a rearing animal, with which even a large-sized cow is readily held down and a hood shaving operation is readily and safely carried out in an easy posture.

The chute apparatus 1 for shaving hoofs of a rearing animal is equipped with an axle assembly 8 having a front ground prop 6 and a pair of right and left wheels 7, a liftable frame body 4 having a floor 2 and both right and left side frames 3, a cylinder-rod apparatus 9 for lifting and lowering the frame body 4 relatively to ground means 6, 7 and 8 by a fluid pressure means, and link-chain mechanisms 11, 12 and 13. The chute apparatus is equipped with an entrance gate means 14 which introduces a rearing animal, for example, a cow to the rear of the frame body 4, an exit gate means 15 in which the rearing animal leaves from the front of the frame body after the operation, controlling means 24, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 for controlling the rearing animal and a front leg and a rear leg handling means 25 and 19 for holding at least the ankle of the front leg or the rear leg of the controlled rearing animal and lifting the front leg or the rear leg.
