Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of a large amount of unburned HC by arranging a fuel injection valve in the center of a cylinder head inside wall, arranging an intake valve and an exhaust valve in the periphery of the inside wall face, and injecting fuel from the fuel injection valve toward the opening parts of the intake valve and the exhaust valve at a prescribed time. SOLUTION: An intake valve 7 and an exhaust valve 9 are arranged on the inside wall face of a cylinder head 4, so as to be gradually deflected from the cylinder axial line with increase in height. When the exhaust valve 9 is opened in an intake stroke, air is sucked into a combustion chamber 5 from the intake valve 7, while burnt gas is sucked into the combustion chamber 5 form the exhaust valve 9. Here, fuel is injected towards the opening parts of the intake valve 7 and the exhaust valve 9 from a fuel injection valve 6 arranged in the inside wall central part. Because the injected fuel is pushed back by the air and burnt gas flowing inward, the injected fuel can hardly reach the cylinder bore inside wall face. Consequently, generation of unburned HC is suppressed, and lubrication oil is prevented from being diluted with the injected fuel.
