Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ATM transfer system that can attain discard control of ATM cells of AAL(ATM Adaptation Layer) 1 and AAL 2 in a GFR(Guaranteed Frame Rate) service network. SOLUTION: UUI(User-User Information indication) provision devices 4, 5 are provided between the GFR service network 1 and CLADs(Cell Assembly and Disassembly) 2, 3 that assemble/disassemble cells of the AAL 1, AAL 2, and the UUI providing devices 4, 5 set UUI value of an ATM header to '1' as an identifier representing that the ATM cell of the AAL 1 and AAL 2 sent from the CLADs 2, 3 to the GFR service network 1 is a final cell so that discard of an AAL 1 VC and an AAL 2 VC is minimized even on the occurrence of cell discard or congestion in the GFR service network 1.
