To provide a rotating machine in which the number of pole pair to 1:1 without using an exciting coil and to provide a hybrid vehicle using the rotating machine.
The rotating machine comprises an inner rotor and an outer rotor coaxially disposed and a stator disposed between these two rotors. This machine further comprises a number-of-pole pairs varying mechanism in which the numbers of pole pairs of the inner rotor and the outer rotor are different for increasing the number of the pole pairs of the rotor having the small number of the pole pairs to set the numbers of the pole pairs of the inner rotor and the outer rotor to the same. The mechanism includes a permanent magnet in a field of the rotor of the side for changing the number of the pole pairs. A field pole of one pole is divided into a plurality, the divided magnets at another one are inverted at 180 by a magnet inverting mechanism to increase the number of the pole pairs.
