Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing/decomposing method which is entirely problem-free even if the odors and hazardous materials included in the waste gases generated from a fermenter of a garbage treating device are completely decomposed and the waste gases are released to the outside of the garbage treating device. SOLUTION: The steam discharged from the steam fermenter is circulated in titanium oxide photocatalysts which are composed mainly of titanium oxide, are formed to a granular form and are packed into plural separating chambers formed around UV light sources and the odors and hazardous materials in the steam are adsorbed and decomposed by the titanium oxide photocatalysts and are separated to gaseous components and moisture. The separated gaseous components and moisture are circulated so as to be brought into contact with the granular titanium oxide photocatalysts composed mainly of the titanium oxide packed into plural cracking layers formed to encircle the respective UV light sources, by which the odors and hazardous materials in the gases and moisture are adsorbed and decomposed to the titanium oxide photocatalysts. The gases and the moisture are then discharged from respectively separate discharge ports to the outside of the garbage fermentation treating device.
