Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient photodetector circuit suitable for IC in which temperature compensation can be carried out with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A reference voltage generation circuit 4 feeds a voltage having a temperature coefficient substantially identical to that of an APD(avalanche photodiode) 1 to the noninverted input terminal of an amplifier 2 while varying depending on the ambient temperature. The amplifier 2 amplifies a photocurrent being fed from the APD 1 to the inverted input terminal based on the voltage being fed to the noninverted input terminal. Temperature compensation is achieved by suppressing temperature fluctuation of a voltage signal obtained through I-V conversion of the photocurrent.
